Hello Again!

Image
It's been a while! My last post was last August! I can't believe I let it go for so long. Life has changed a little bit in the past year the biggest change being that my little man has started school and we don't have as much time to craft as we used to. To feed my creativity I started an Etsy shop called Meg's Chalk Shop where I sell all things chalkboard, picture frames, wall hangings, menu boards etc. etsy.com/shop/megschalkshop  Little man doesn't think I should sell anything I make. Every picture frame is his favorite and he wants to keep them all. I let him choose a picture frame and paint with me last week. He chose a heart shaped frame and painted it all the colors of the rainbow. As he was painting he made me promise that I would not sell his picture frame on Etsy! With summer coming (Any day now!) I have already started thinking about crafts and activities for us. I will blog again!

Ice Spell

Image
One morning I told my son a bad guy had cast an ice spell on some of his toys! We opened the freezer to find 6 figurines (super heroes, ninja turtles etc) had been frozen into huge ice blocks. To free them we had to bring them outside to let the ice melt and try to cut them free (with a play dough knife) Finally it was taking too long and the heroes ended up in the pool!

3 Ingredient Cookies

Image
This is my take on the 2 ingredient cookie which is banana and oats. They sound deliciois but I am allergic to bananas so I set out to find a replacement. I found that unsweetened applesauce works out great! The add ins are endless. One of my creations turned into a 6 ingredient cookie but it was delicious.  Ingredients 1 cup of oats 1 cup of applesauce (unsweetened with cinnamon) 1/2 cup of raisins (or other add ins) Add in pissibilities: Raisins, walnuts, almonds, chocolate chips, cranberries, blueberries, coconut etc. Directions: Preheat the oven to 350° Combine the oats applesauce and raisins in a bowl Spoon the oats onto a parchmin lined sheet Bake for 15 minutes That's it, enjoy the healthy cookies and enjoy the easy clean up!
