Book Review: Making a Meal for a Fairy

This summer we borrowed a great book from our local library, Making a Meal for a Fairy  by Ruth Owen. It is a cookbook to make a meal: drink, appetizer, main meal and dessert fit for a fairy. This is one in a series of recipe books for imaginary creatures. Being a fan of fairies and enchanted stories, I loved this idea. We tried two of the recipes in this book. I changed them up a bit to fit our tastes and the ingredients that we had on hand but they gave us some great inspiration. The recipes we tried were the Fairydust Frappe and Fairy Garden Bread.  We started with the Fairydust Frappe. We changed it up a bit by using what we had on  hand. The substutions we made were: ice cream for the condensed milk and we omitted the whipped cream. Our Fairudust Frappes turned out to be delicious, fit for a fairy for sure.
