Football Food

Meat, cracker and cheese platter.
Fall is officially here meaning Football season has stated!  Football season means football food!  Chips are good but having a little one who eats everything we do makes me want to make sure we have some healthier football food options this season.  These have been big hits so far and every week they wait to see what football themed food I'll come up with.

Directions:

Meat, Cracker and Cheese platter:

Ingredients:
Small round crackers (I used Breton Garden Vegetables)
Peperoni slices
String Cheese

On a platter arrange the crackers in the shape of a foot ball.  Arrange the pepperoni in the middle.  Separate the string cheese and arrange the cheese on top of the peperoni to look like laces.

Football Fruit:

Ingredients:
Grapes
Apples
Cheese (I added some white cheddar cheese with the fruit)

With a sharp knife cut one long line down the grape and three small lines across it to look like laces on a football.
Peal the apple and cut into oblong chunks.  Cut one line down the center and three smaller lines across it for the laces.
Cut the cheese into chunks.  Arrange all the fruit in a bowl placing the cheese between the apples and grapes.

Touchdown Pizza Skewers

Ingredients:
Pepperoni
Red Peppers
Cheese cubes
Ciabata bun
Pizza sauce
Skewers
Tooth picks

Cut the bread, cheese, peppers and pepperoni into chunks.  Place on the skewers.  Heat pizza sauce and place in a bowl for dipping.
Decorate the dull end of the skewers with football pictures. Tape the toothpicks together to look like a goal post stick into a peice of cheese and place in the pizza sauce.

Bon Appetit
