Spring Flowers
Spring officially starts in 2 days but I'm not sure if Mother Nature is ready to start with the Spring weather anytime soon (not here anyways!) So in the spirit of starting with or without Mother Nature we made these wilt-free wooden flowers that bring the spring indoors.
Cost: $6.00
Time: 30 minutes plus drying time
Material:
Wooden flower sticks (by Elmer come in packs of 10 for $2.00)
Flower pots (plastic or terracotta depending on what you have and if you want to paint them)
Paint
Stickers
Dry floral foam
Paper shreds

Directions:
Cover your work space with newspaper, lay out the wooden flowers, paint, water, brushes, paper towels etc.
Paint the flowers. Set aside to dry.
Paint the flower pots or decorate with stickers. We did both (I did all the painting of the flower pots, afraid of breaking)
Cut the foam into smaller pieces to fit inside the flower pots.
Cover the foam with paper shreds or spanish moss.
Enjoy a little bit of Spring!
