Secret Santa Present

I always struggle to find the perfect secret Santa gift, especially for co-workers. This year I took some inspiration from Instagram, I'm not sure who did it first or even where hot the idea from but I saw someone fold a dish towel into a pocket and I thought that would be a cute gift for my co-worker who likes to bake. 
I found a few tutorials on youtube on how to fold dishcloths into pockets, it's pretty simple. I added cookie mix and festive spatulas to mine. Looking around for cookie cutters to add to the gift I found cookie cutter lights for 60% off at Michael's. They are battery operated and can be set on a timer. I think they would look very cute in a kitchen window ledge or on a little tree in the kitchen. 
With everything included I came in just under the 20$ budget at 17.50. I am really looking forward to gifting this Secret Santa gift!

Super Mario Party

For Little Misses 4th birthday she wanted a Mario themed birthday party, we'll she wanted a Princess Peach birthday party but she was alright with adding Mario and Luigi. I bought some decorations but I made a Super Mario obstacle course, we even played the theme song while we went through the obstacle course. It was like being inside a video game.  I also made Mario themed cupcakes and snacks. Super Mario themed cupcakes These were fun to make and with some fondant it is easy to make them look like recognizable Super Mario characters.  What you need: Cupcakes (the birthday person's favorite kind) Icing White Fondant (I use white fondant and add food colouring to make the coulours I need but you can also buy already coloured fondant, it's not as messy)  Food Colouring What to do: Frost the cupcakes with the regular icing. DIY Minecraft Nerf Gun Target

We have been having fun with nerf guns in the backyard this summer. To change it up  from Nerf Gun battles we decided to make some targets to practice on. Materials: Cardboard box Paint pens  Duct tape  Measure the targets, one big circle in the middle, four smaller circles around the middle target. Cut out the circles, measure about a 1/2" from the edge and cut the contour of the small circles. Measure 1" on the center circle and cut the contour. Draw a character on each target. We chose a creeper for the middle target and pigs for the smaller targets. Place the target in their perspective circles, measure twine to hang each target in place. Duct tape the twine to the target and the targets to the support. Tape all the shapes to their respective openings. Add point value for each shape.  It's  time for target practice! Happy crafting!
