Evolution of Just Add Stickers

This past January I decided to change up my Just Add Stickers logo and background. Over the past 12 years of this blog I have changed the look of my homepage twice. When I look back on the old designs I feel nostalgic, I remember all the times that I worked on my little blog over the years, the projects that I worked on with my kids, for them and for myself. 
 

When I started my blog in 2013, I was figuring things out as I went along. I didn't have a smart phone at that point, I finally got a tablet soon after I started but my first blog posts were made from my laptop, uploading pictures from my digital camera. I chose a playful option from the background themes. It fit well with the crafts that I was posting, very playful. 


Then I discovered Canva! That was a game changer! I changed to this background on New Year's Day 2017. I was crafting more for myself at this point, Little Man was at school and I was working on my Etsy shop. I was looking at making my blog look a little older. 

I chose this circle with leaves as my most recent logo because it reminds me of stickers that I have been using in my planners lately. I feel that it reflects my creativity and crafting as of late. 
Hopefully this won't be the last change. I hope to continue posting all my crafty adventures for years to come! Happy 12th birthday little blog! Here's to many more!

Parents with young kids might know Tasty Time with Ze Fronk on Disney Junior. My little one, I've said before, sees something on TV and wants to make it asap. Luckily all the recipes are healthy and easy to make without being too plain. You can download the a Ze Fronk cookbook for your kids at  Disney Junior . DIY Minecraft Nerf Gun Target

We have been having fun with nerf guns in the backyard this summer. To change it up  from Nerf Gun battles we decided to make some targets to practice on. Materials: Cardboard box Paint pens  Duct tape  Measure the targets, one big circle in the middle, four smaller circles around the middle target. Cut out the circles, measure about a 1/2" from the edge and cut the contour of the small circles. Measure 1" on the center circle and cut the contour. Draw a character on each target. We chose a creeper for the middle target and pigs for the smaller targets. Place the target in their perspective circles, measure twine to hang each target in place. Duct tape the twine to the target and the targets to the support. Tape all the shapes to their respective openings. Add point value for each shape.  It's  time for target practice! Happy crafting!

Super Mario Party

For Little Misses 4th birthday she wanted a Mario themed birthday party, we'll she wanted a Princess Peach birthday party but she was alright with adding Mario and Luigi. I bought some decorations but I made a Super Mario obstacle course, we even played the theme song while we went through the obstacle course. It was like being inside a video game.  I also made Mario themed cupcakes and snacks. Super Mario themed cupcakes These were fun to make and with some fondant it is easy to make them look like recognizable Super Mario characters.  What you need: Cupcakes (the birthday person's favorite kind) Icing White Fondant (I use white fondant and add food colouring to make the coulours I need but you can also buy already coloured fondant, it's not as messy)  Food Colouring What to do: Frost the cupcakes with the regular icing.
