Countdown 2025 Days 19-22

We are officially on Christmas vacation! The kids are off from school, all the exams have been written and all the crazy themed days are done! All my Christmas work parties and celebrations are done. It is family time! 

The first order of business was to write a Christmas to-do list. Little Miss loves the book 5 more sleeps 'til Christmas (and the show too, but we can't find anywhere to stream it.) In the book, the little boy plans out and countdown the days leading up to Christmas. Our list includes, Christmas baking, reading Christmas books at a coffee shop, looking at Christmas lights, wrapping Christmas presents and our little family Christmas before our bigger family celebrations. We have lots to do in the next couple of days but I am sure that we will enjoy every minute of it!

Happy countdown, only 3 more sleeps 'til Christmas!

Parents with young kids might know Tasty Time with Ze Fronk on Disney Junior. My little one, I've said before, sees something on TV and wants to make it asap. Luckily all the recipes are healthy and easy to make without being too plain. You can download the a Ze Fronk cookbook for your kids at  Disney Junior . For lunch we made ze tasty turkey rolls and ze tomato surprise Ze Tomato Surprise Ingredients: Cherry tomatoes Cottage cheese Sprinkles to decorate (or use chopped up basil to decorate) Directions: Cut the tomatoes in half and scoop out the inside Fill tomatoes with cottage cheese Top with sprinkles or basil Ze Tasty Turkey Rolls Ingredients: 2 large tortillas 4 slices of turkey lettuce 2 slices tomato Caesar or ranch dressing Directions: Place tortilla on a plate and spread with dressing Top with remaining ingredients Roll up and cut in half

DIY Minecraft Nerf Gun Target

We have been having fun with nerf guns in the backyard this summer. To change it up  from Nerf Gun battles we decided to make some targets to practice on. Materials: Cardboard box Paint pens  Duct tape  Measure the targets, one big circle in the middle, four smaller circles around the middle target. Cut out the circles, measure about a 1/2" from the edge and cut the contour of the small circles. Measure 1" on the center circle and cut the contour. Draw a character on each target. We chose a creeper for the middle target and pigs for the smaller targets. Place the target in their perspective circles, measure twine to hang each target in place. Duct tape the twine to the target and the targets to the support. Tape all the shapes to their respective openings. Add point value for each shape.  It's  time for target practice! Happy crafting!

DIY Lego Valentine's Gift

Your little Master Builders can make this heart shaped box for their Valentine. Or, you can surprise them and show them that you like playing with Lego as much as they do. It's the perfect little box to fill with chocolate or any other sweet treat. What you need: Red and white Lego  (multi colored would look nice too. Use what you have on hand, or under foot) Chocolate or candy  What to do: Start by making the shape of a heart using 2x2 and 2x6 flat bricks. Build up the heart shape using 1x1 and 1x6 bricks, build 3 layers of bricks Carefully turn the heart over, use 4x4 and 4x6 flat bricks to make the bottom of the box. To make the lid: Flip the box right side up Using 2x6 and 2x2 flat bricks recreate the shape of the box. Make 2 or 3 layers of bricks so that the lid is stable. Using 1x1 red bricks make the heart design in the middleof the lid. Fill with candy! Happy Valentine's Day!
