Mason Jar Snow Globes

No water. No mess. Easy to make snow globes. Personalise these snow globes by using different figurines. They are great homemade presents to give.

Time: 30 minutes for 3 snow globes

Cost: $6.00 for 3 snow globes

Material:
  • Empty jars
  • Figurines (1 or 2 per jar depending on the size)
  • Large sparkles
  • Cotton ball snow
  • Jingle bell garland
  • Glue gun
Direction:
  1. Glue the figurine to the lid of the jar. To add a little extra ambiance you can use a small house or figurine that lights up. If you use a figuring with a switch on the bottom use an exacto knife to carefully cut a hole in the lid. Cover the hole with tape before you glue the figurine onto the lid. If you don't have a figurine you can make a snowman out of golf balls or white pom poms.
  2. Glue some of the cotton ball snow around the figurine.
  3. Put 1-2 tablespoons (depending on the size of the jar) of sparkles in each jar. Screw the lids back onto the jars. Shake the jar to make sure there are enough sparkles.
  4. Cut the bell garland to fit around the lid. Use the glue gun to glue the garland into place. Decorate the top and bottom of the jar with the cotton ball snow.
Shake, watch it sparkle and hear it jingle!
