Tried and Tested Pizza Recipe for Kids

In the July/August issue of Rachael Ray's Every Day Magazine there is a recipe Upside-Down Pizza Party. It's fun pizza recipe to make with kids. This turned out to be the pizza for the boy who hates pizza. I know it's not a normal complaint from a parent but my son hates pizza. After helping me make the pizza, he ate it up! This is my take on the recipe.

Ingredients:
Pizza dough (bread machine recipe below)
Frozen vegetables (brocoli,  cauliflower and carrots)
Pizza sauce
Shredded cheese

Directions:
Preheat over to 450
Place rack in the bottom third of the oven
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and brush with olive oil
Have your kids place the veggies on the baking sheet. Drizzle the pizza sauce over the veggies
Roll out the pizza dough
Help your children place the dough on the baking sheet, on top of the veggies press down lightly
Season the pizza dough with salt and pepper
Bake for 15-20 minutes until crust is golden
Flip the pizza onto a cutting board and carefully remove the parchment paper
Add the cheese
Cut, serve and enjoy!

Bread Machine Pizza Dough
Small batch
3/4 cup water
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 cup flour
2 tsp bread machine yeast
Add ingredients into bread maker in order listed
Press dough setting
When done remove from bread machine and cover with plastic wrap 5-30 minutes (the longer you let it rise the thicker the crust)
Roll out on floured surface.
Bon appétit!
