Twinsies Two

Two years ago I shared a post about Little Miss liking to match her dolls, not much has changed in two years except that now she likes to match her stuffies. I have used the idea that I posted in Twinsies a few times since I posted it in September 2020. For these matching outfits I used a dress that my sister-in-law bought Little Miss as a vacation present this summer. Unfortunately, the dress was too small on top but fit perfectly as a skirt. It just so happened that the top of the dress fit Little Misses favorite unicorn.
My Mom made the skirt happen. She is a much more skilled seamstress than I am, it took her about 15 minutes to cut and sew the skirt. She used some of the material from the top to make a wide band and added some elastic. We left the top as is, it was a perfect fit for the unicorn.
I was happy that we were able to use the dress after all, it is a great vibrant tie-dye pattern. It has become one of Little Misses favorite skirts this summer and she even wears it with leggings now that the weather is getting cooler.

DIY Minecraft Nerf Gun Target

We have been having fun with nerf guns in the backyard this summer. To change it up  from Nerf Gun battles we decided to make some targets to practice on. Materials: Cardboard box Paint pens  Duct tape  Measure the targets, one big circle in the middle, four smaller circles around the middle target. Cut out the circles, measure about a 1/2" from the edge and cut the contour of the small circles. Measure 1" on the center circle and cut the contour. Draw a character on each target. We chose a creeper for the middle target and pigs for the smaller targets. Place the target in their perspective circles, measure twine to hang each target in place. Duct tape the twine to the target and the targets to the support. Tape all the shapes to their respective openings. Add point value for each shape.  It's  time for target practice! Happy crafting!

Pom-pom Yoga Games

There are so many great yoga game ideas for kids out there, this is one that I found that is good for all age groups. The original idea was picking up the pom-poms with your toes only but I found that you can make many variations as you go. Ask the kids for ideas as you're playing as well it's fun to see what they will think of. Toe-ga Empty a bag of pom-poms on the floor. Sit in a circle around the pom-poms. Each player sits back, hands on the floor, knees bent. Place an empty bowl near each player's feet. 123 go, using only their toes each player has to put as many pom-poms in their bowl as they can. Yoga pose pom-pom pick up Empty a bag of pom-poms on the floor. Standing or sitting in a circle choose a yoga pose that everyone can do. While in the pose each player has to place as many pom-poms in their bowls as they can.  Some poses to try: Downward dog, use your hands to pick up the pom-poms.  Tree pose use your toes to pick up the pom-poms.
