Recreate the picture from Breakfast at Tiffany's check!
I did it! I crossed an item off my bucket list! Bucket lists are funny things, imaginary (in my case) lists of dream vacations and/or other activities. Most lists don't make sense to anyone but the list maker. I don't know why I wanted to recreate this picture. I've just always liked it and it seemed like it had the potential to be a fun thing to do and it was!

My hubby and I went to New York for the first time this month and at the top of my to see list was Tiffany & co. I think I said Breakfast at Tiffanys one too many times (without explaining what I was going on about) leading him to believe that it was a restaurant but he went along with it when I explained what it was.

In the picture I don't have to pastry bag because it was already a jugle to walk the streets with coffee, there were at least a thousand people per block! I had to wait for a turn at the iconic window but it was worth it!

It may seem silly and simple but finally doing something, no matter how small it is, that you've been thinking about (or put on a list) makes you happy and it really is the small victories that count!

DIY Minecraft Nerf Gun Target

We have been having fun with nerf guns in the backyard this summer. To change it up  from Nerf Gun battles we decided to make some targets to practice on. Materials: Cardboard box Paint pens  Duct tape  Measure the targets, one big circle in the middle, four smaller circles around the middle target. Cut out the circles, measure about a 1/2" from the edge and cut the contour of the small circles. Measure 1" on the center circle and cut the contour. Draw a character on each target. We chose a creeper for the middle target and pigs for the smaller targets. Place the target in their perspective circles, measure twine to hang each target in place. Duct tape the twine to the target and the targets to the support. Tape all the shapes to their respective openings. Add point value for each shape.  It's  time for target practice! Happy crafting!

Pom-pom Yoga Games

There are so many great yoga game ideas for kids out there, this is one that I found that is good for all age groups. The original idea was picking up the pom-poms with your toes only but I found that you can make many variations as you go. Ask the kids for ideas as you're playing as well it's fun to see what they will think of. Toe-ga Empty a bag of pom-poms on the floor. Sit in a circle around the pom-poms. Each player sits back, hands on the floor, knees bent. Place an empty bowl near each player's feet. 123 go, using only their toes each player has to put as many pom-poms in their bowl as they can. Yoga pose pom-pom pick up Empty a bag of pom-poms on the floor. Standing or sitting in a circle choose a yoga pose that everyone can do. While in the pose each player has to place as many pom-poms in their bowls as they can.  Some poses to try: Downward dog, use your hands to pick up the pom-poms.  Tree pose use your toes to pick up the pom-poms.
